In 2017-18, Sonoma State University is engaged in a strategic planning process that will set the direction for the university for years to come. Changes in leadership, organizational structure, personnel, and student demographics provide the backdrop to this planning process.
Student success is a top priority as we continue to improve graduation and retention rates and seek to eliminate the under-represented and Pell-eligible student achievement gap.
The planning process will position Sonoma State to serve all stakeholders—students, faculty, staff, alumni, business leaders, and community members—with integrity and will help Sonoma State be a leader in public higher education for the region and the state.
